Mr. “Chet” Michael Sainsbury was presented with a Paul Harris award for his contribution to both the community and especially his contribution to the athletics. Before receiving the award PP Lester Cameron introduced Chet: “He is a legend in the athletics community” … “his ground breaking contributions to making athletic events accesable for all athletes irrespective of gender, race or status in life to participate, especially in the past 1994 era.” Was highlighted. A good point of reference for those who do not know Chet would be the Two Oceans marathon and everything that it took to get it to the status of the event that it is today.
