This sunny, windy Sunday the Rotary Family of Claremont Club organised Fun
Frenzy 2017, our annual children’s fun sports day at Bishops College in
Rondebosch. Our 5 Interact Clubs from Bishops, Claremont High, Herschel
Girls, Sans Souci and SACS invited 150 little children from Homes,
Orphanages and various organisations in our surrounding area. Our Claremont
Rotaract Club organised the sports field events, each Interact club had
organised a range of activities to entertain our little guests including
face painting, bobbing for apples and football to name just a few.
Whilst the children and Interact members were busy on the field our
Rotarians were busy braaing a great lunch for the children. Our Inner Wheel
members assisted us by organising the preparation and service of the food. A
big thank you to Mr Peter Hyslop , Master in Charge and Dr Anne Stevens at
Bishops for arranging and hosting the venue, and thank you too to all our
wonderful Rotary family for their support during the day which gave so much
pleasure to these 150 children.
Fun Frenzy 2017 Convenor Rotarian Suzanne Himely

I am a member of the global village having grown up in Nigeria, Singapore, Germany , England and France - I believe in multicultural environments and respecting each individual's rights. Most precious to me is the protection of Children and Woman from abuse, deprivation and inequality. I joined Rotary International because I wanedt to put back into the Community in which I live. I identify with the Rotary motto of Service above Self. I have served with the Rotary Club of Claremont since 1996 as Director of the following commitees: International, Vocational, New Generations and as Club Secretary. As President for the year 2012 - 2013 I have committed my time to the service of my Club and the furtherance of Rotary International's goals of Peace through Service. When I am not doing my voluntary work, I am self-employed, booking Vacation villas for overseas tourists (www.africandreamvillas.com) and my "hobby" is "the French Market" where I sell French cheese and other products at the Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock.
